MediaBook is an innovative digital platform designed to transform the media booking experience for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in New Zealand. Its primary mission is to simplify the media buying process, making it more accessible, cost-effective, and impactful for SMEs that often struggle with the complexities and high costs of traditional media planning and buying.

Purpose

MediaBook exists to democratize media access for the backbone of New Zealand’s economy—its SMEs. These businesses, which make up 97% of all businesses in the country, often face significant challenges in marketing due to limited budgets and marketing expertise. MediaBook aims to level the playing field, allowing these smaller players to gain visibility and compete more effectively in their respective markets.

Target Audience

The platform serves marketing managers and business owners of SMEs across New Zealand, providing them with a tool to effortlessly plan, book, and manage media campaigns with a few clicks. MediaBook caters specifically to those who need to maximize their marketing spend while still achieving substantial brand impact and engagement.

Key Differentiators
  • Simplified Media Booking: MediaBook streamlines the media booking process through an easy-to-use online platform, removing traditional barriers such as complex negotiations and lack of transparency.
  • AI-Driven Insights and Support: Utilizing AI technology, MediaBook assists users in crafting optimized media plans, generating comprehensive media briefs, and providing actionable insights, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of each campaign
  • Cost Efficiency: By leveraging its strong relationships with media suppliers, MediaBook offers competitive rates that are typically inaccessible to individual SMEs
  • Social Impact: Unique to MediaBook, a portion of the fees from each booking is donated to a charity or community cause chosen by the client, intertwining social responsibility with business marketing efforts
  • Transparent Operations: Radical transparency in the booking and execution phases ensures that SMEs have full insight into where and how their money is being spent.

In summary, MediaBook is not just a media booking platform; it is a comprehensive solution designed to empower SMEs with the tools and opportunities previously reserved for larger corporations, while also fostering a culture of social responsibility and community support in the New Zealand business ecosystem.

AI Usage and Customization
Client Onboarding and Data Capture
  • Implement a conversational AI agent that helps new users fill out their profile details interactively, making the sign-up process engaging and less cumbersome.
Media Brief Generation
  • Use a tailored AI model to reformulate client input into a structured media brief. This requires training the AI with a dataset of successful media briefs to understand the format and critical elements that need emphasis.
Campaign Proposal Analysis
  • Another AI agent can be used to analyze responses from media partners and generate comparative insights, suggesting the best options available based on cost, reach, and expected impact.
Impact Scoring
  • Develop an algorithm to calculate the “Pretty Good Impact Score,” which quantifies the social impact of media bookings. This will require statistical models that relate financial contributions to tangible outcomes in supported causes.
Operations and Process Flow
Development Phases
  1. Requirements Gathering: Finalize functional and non-functional requirements with stakeholders.
  2. Prototype Design: Create wireframes and mockups for the front-end interface.
  3. Development Sprints: Agile sprints focusing on building core functionalities such as user registration, media brief submissions, and integration with Bionic-Ads.
  4. Testing Phase: Includes unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure robustness and usability.
  5. Launch Preparation: Final refinements based on feedback and preparing for deployment.
